Gregg hartsuff, head coach
A message from Head Coach Gregg Hartsuff in support of the campaign. Gregg needs no introduction, having served as the Head Coach of the Michigan Men’s Rowing Team for over 30 years. Under his leadership, the team has won over 160 Dad Vail, ECAC, and ACRA medals, including 60 gold medals.
Doug McBeth, father of current athlete
Doug McBeth, member of the Facility Campaign Committee and father of current Team junior, Tommy, explains why he has supported the campaign and what it means to him.
Tom peszek, 2012 olympian
Alumnus Tom Peszek ‘07 explains the impact of the campaign. Tom raced at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and raced at the World Rowing Championships for the United States nine times throughout his distinguished rowing career.
Nicole carpentiere ‘24
Current team president Nicole Carpentiere ‘24 describes the impact on the Team. Nicole is a coxswain on the team and is studying Biomedical Engineering.
Russ Giacobbe, former freshman coach
Russell Giacobbe discusses why this campaign is so important. Russ served as the team’s Freshman Coach for seven years from 2011 through 2018 and the Assistant Head Coach from 2018 through 2021. He is also the Director of Ann Arbor Rowing Club, which currently shares Argo Pond with the team.
